Just a few days ago the US celebrated “National Donut Day”! I don’t know about you, but I don’t need much of an excuse for donuts so when I heard the news I took it as the perfect excuse to hightail it to my favorite doughnut shop. And of course attempt a hand painted donut with icing drips topped with sprinkles!
I’ll tell you a secret – I bought the donut with sprinkles just for this picture, then thew it away! I kinda felt bad, but I hate sprinkles to EAT (tastes like food coloring – I do like the chocolate ones though) but sooooo preeety to look at. I tried to mimic the sprinkles on my pink frosting drips and the donut accent nail.
